SunFish Academy conducted its Core Module Refresher Training Batch II in April 2026, reinforcing its commitment to helping organizations strengthen their HR data foundations through the SunFish HR platform.
The session was led by Ferdian R Saputra, HR Development, who guided participants through a live demonstration using the SunFish Demo Instance. The training focused on helping HR administrators revisit key configurations related to organizational structure, employee data management, and employee lifecycle administration within the HRIS system.
The session was attended by total 81 participants from various industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, energy, financial services, and technology. Participating organizations included Alila Seminyak, Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City, Artajasa Pembayaran Elektronis, Bungasari Flour Mills Indonesia, Daikin Industries Indonesia, Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, Multipolar Technology Tbk, Sodexo Indonesia, and Vallourec Asia Pacific Corp, among others.
During the session, participants revisited key functionalities within the SunFish HR Core Module, focusing on managing organizational structure and master HR data as the foundation of HR operations.
Key topics covered included:
- Configuration of job family, job family level, and job titles
- Managing organization units and job positions
- Adding and updating employee data
- Managing employee onboarding processes
- Handling employee status changes, such as probation to permanent
- Managing termination and employee lifecycle processes
The training emphasized the importance of maintaining structured and consistent HR data as the backbone of an integrated HRIS.
Through hands-on demonstrations, participants gained practical insights into how organizational and employee data are interconnected within the system and how proper configuration can improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
Q&A Session Highlights
The session concluded with an interactive discussion addressing practical questions from participants.
One participant asked about the purpose of the “Acting As” feature in the Add Position menu. It was explained that this feature allows organizations to define additional roles within the organizational structure, such as subordinates, assistants, or consultants, providing greater flexibility in representing reporting relationships.
Another question focused on whether the system supports the updated 16-digit NPWP format. The trainer clarified that SunFish HR already supports this format through the Company Parameter Setting, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Participants also raised questions regarding the availability of the attachment feature in Organization Unit compared to Job Position. It was explained that attachment functionality is currently more relevant for Job Position, as it is commonly used to store documents such as job descriptions or role-specific information.
The discussion provided valuable insights into how organizations can optimize system configurations based on their operational needs.
