Batam, Indonesia – DataOn, through SunFish HR, successfully participated as a Platinum Sponsor at Overlooked Medical Trend 2026, an HR and healthcare conference organized by Meditap in collaboration with Jobstreet by SEEK. Held on 3–4 June 2026 in Batam and attended by more than 300 participants, the event brought together HR leaders, finance executives, healthcare professionals, and business decision-makers to discuss the growing connection between healthcare trends, workforce cost, employee wellbeing, talent management, and retention.
The conference carried the theme “From Medical Trends to Workforce Strategy: Managing Cost, Talent & Retention,” highlighting how medical utilization, employee health, and workforce expectations are becoming increasingly relevant to business performance. Day One was held at Radisson Golf & Convention Center Batam, followed by an open discussion and workshop on Day Two at Ai Volla Cafe, Batam.
As part of the event, DataOn engaged with participants through the SunFish HR booth, product discussions, and a dedicated speaking session titled “Managing Workforce Wellbeing with Integrated HR Technology: Empowering HR to Build a Healthier and More Productive Workforce.” The session was delivered by Kevin Ronaldo, Senior Presales at DataOn, who shared how integrated HR technology can help organizations turn fragmented employee signals into clearer workforce actions.
During the session, Kevin emphasized that employee wellbeing is no longer an isolated HR concern. Mental strain, financial stress, rising workloads, medical inflation, leave patterns, benefit claims, and employee feedback all provide important signals for HR teams. However, when these signals are scattered across different systems or manual processes, it becomes harder for organizations to respond quickly and make well-informed workforce decisions.
“Workforce wellbeing requires more than individual programs. It requires visibility, connection, and action,” said Kevin Ronaldo. “When HR teams can bring employee data, attendance, claims, and feedback into one integrated platform, they are better equipped to understand what is happening across the workforce and respond with more confidence.”

Strong Engagement from HR and Business Leaders in Batam
The SunFish HR booth became one of DataOn’s key touchpoints during the event, welcoming approximately 200 participants who engaged directly with the team to discuss practical HR challenges, technology adoption, and workforce wellbeing priorities.
These conversations provided a valuable opportunity for DataOn to listen directly to HR and business leaders, understand their operational priorities, and explore how integrated HRIS technology can support workforce management in more practical and measurable ways.
Participants also showed strong interest in how SunFish can help HR teams understand employee conditions more proactively. Discussions included the use of happiness surveys, mood indicators, emoji-based feedback, and dashboards that help HR identify employees who may be showing negative sentiment or signs of disengagement.
Other conversations focused on system integration and infrastructure readiness. Participants asked whether SunFish HR can connect with existing web-based on-premise systems or internal company platforms. Questions were also raised around server security, certification standards such as ISO, and the flexibility of SunFish HR in supporting companies with specific technology environments.
The discussions reflected a clear shift among HR and business leaders. Organizations are no longer only looking for HR systems that automate administration. They are looking for technology that can connect data, support compliance, improve employee experience, and help HR lead transformation more effectively.
The event also reinforced the importance of connecting workforce wellbeing with broader HR strategies. As companies face rising healthcare costs, evolving employee expectations, and increasing pressure to retain talent, HR leaders need better ways to understand the relationship between employee health, productivity, attendance, and engagement.

Building a More Connected HR Ecosystem
DataOn’s participation in Overlooked Medical Trend 2026 reflects its continued commitment to helping organizations strengthen workforce management through integrated HR technology. Through these conversations, DataOn observed that many organizations are looking for HR technology that can connect daily workforce operations with broader employee wellbeing and business priorities.
By connecting these areas into one platform, SunFish helps HR leaders move from fragmented administration to more informed workforce decision-making. This is especially important for organizations that want to manage employee wellbeing not as a standalone initiative, but as part of a broader strategy for productivity, retention, and business resilience.
“Events like Overlooked Medical Trend 2026 are important because they bring together healthcare, HR, and business perspectives in one conversation,” said Marci Mark Rogi, Sales Director at DataOn. “For DataOn, this is an opportunity to listen directly to organizations, understand their workforce challenges, and show how SunFish can support their next stage of HR transformation.”
As workforce challenges continue to evolve, DataOn remains focused on helping organizations build HR functions that are more connected, responsive, and ready to support long-term business growth.
